Pastor E.A. Adeboye to Appeal to Christians to Fast and Pray for Nigeria’s Peace

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has called for a day of fasting and prayer for the people of Nigeria and the establishment of peace in the country.

This was stated during his speech during the October RCCG thanksgiving service and special prayer session for all state governors and their deputies held at the church’s National Headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, with the theme “Perfect peace in the land.”

Besides Sanwo-Olu and his wife, governors Gboyega Oyetola (Osun State) and Dapo Abiodun (Ondo State) sent delegates to the service (Ogun State).

In the past, Pastor Adeboye explained, “unless you are one of the special individuals, they do not allow the king’s dress to touch you. However, in the present day, kidnappers can go to the palace to abduct the king. Do not be fooled; we are in a war zone. God, who is greater than any king or army, will help you.

I want to urge the people to get ready to join me very soon in fasting and prayer for the country, since God will heal the land and intervene in the myriad crises negatively affecting the country. We’ve spent a lot of time condemning the government, so let’s all say a prayer for them. I encourage you to pray for them. I have been praying for them and I ask that you do the same.
